Our Programs
Pantry

So many of the clients of The Center in Asbury Park struggle to make ends meet - to put some food on the table - to have some basic things that we can so easily take for granted. Each client is entitled to a monthly emergency "food bag" with some of the basics they are not able to get with food stamps.

Our pantry shelves are kept full due to the generosity of many. Schools and places of worship hold food drives, neighborhoods and clubs collect products for us.

Hygene Items

So many of the clients of The Center in Asbury Park struggle to make ends meet - to have some basic things that we can so easily take for granted. Each client is entitled to a monthly "hygiene bag" with items like deodorant, soap, toilet paper - things they are not able to get with food stamps.

Our hygiene shelves are kept full due to the generosity of many. Schools and places of worship hold hygiene drives, people traveling are in the habit of putting the hotel hygiene products in their suitcases for us, neighborhoods and clubs collect products for us.

Visiting Cooks

On weekends, the resident's meals are cooked by Volunteer Visiting Chefs.  At this time we are reaching out to individuals, families, youth groups, school clubs, churches, and temples to help us out.

We average about 10 residents that come down to the dining room for dinner. (Saturday 4:30-5:30 and Sunday 4:00-5:00).

Chef Karen can help with ordering the meal you would like to serve. Please contact Chef Karen at The Center 732-774-3416 x115

Meals to Go

Our Meals-to-Go Program provides home-cooked frozen meals to folks who are living in Motels and Rooming Houses and have no way to prepare home cooked meals.

We are asking individuals and groups to help us to fill our freezer shelves all year long. The Center will provide you with microwavable containers to fill with good food and a lot of love!

For more information, or if you are interested in helping us, please contact Michael Roland at mroland@thecenterinap.com or 732-774-3416 X121.
