Center House provides a supportive home for unhoused individuals living with HIV/AIDS, offering:

Twenty-five studio apartments with private bathrooms and kitchens.
Secured entrance with front desk security.
On-site services including case management, skill-building, NA/AA meetings, and substance use counseling.
Optional communal dining opportunities.

To apply for residency at Center House, applications must be submitted by a medical or community case manager on behalf of individuals in need. Only applications received from authorized case managers will be considered for review.

Applicants (single adults) must meet the eligibility criteria established by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), which include:

Meeting HUD's definition of homelessness.
Demonstrating income eligibility for Monmouth County Section 8 housing.
Providing documentation confirming a diagnosis of HIV/AIDS.
Meeting the HUD definition of disability, which includes substantial limitations in major life activities.

hygiene

Many clients at The Center in Asbury Park struggle to afford basic necessities that we often take for granted. Each client receives a monthly hygiene bag containing essentials like deodorant, soap, and toilet paper, which aren't covered by food stamps. Our hygiene shelves stay stocked thanks to generous donations. Schools, places of worship, travelers, neighborhoods, and clubs all contribute by organizing hygiene drives or collecting products for us. In addition to the items we give out to clients we also offer hot showers and a place to clean up for those who may have nowhere else to do so.
